Deputy Site Manager

About the role

As a Deputy Site Manager at Asda Express, you will work closely with the Store Manager to create a welcoming, efficient store environment. You’ll be a visible, hands‑on leader who supports colleagues, drives sales, and ensures customers enjoy a smooth shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading and developing a motivated team.
• Drive sales performance, uphold high standards and deliver excellent service.
• Take full ownership of the store when required, making operational decisions.
• Maintain safety and compliance, including PFS and forecourt operations.
• Coach, train and develop colleagues on the shop floor.
• Manage day‑to‑day people processes fairly and professionally.
• Promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued.

Required profile

• Retail experience with strong commercial understanding.
• Positive, supportive leader who sets the tone on the shop floor.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional approach to people processes.
• Commitment to safety, service and operational standards.
