Design and Development Engineer

About the role

As a Design and Development Engineer you will lead the creation and improvement of sealing systems for the building sector. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn concepts into production‑ready products while ensuring performance, environmental and mechanical standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Design solutions for new product development within the company’s framework.
• Provide expert assistance on thermoplastic extrusion and promote related technologies.
• Lead extrusion trials, create prototypes, analyse test data and document results.
• Coordinate project meetings, define deliverables, monitor timelines and resources.
• Validate new designs, processes and materials through testing and experimentation.
• Translate customer specifications and internal requirements into clear performance criteria.
• Produce written reports and deliver presentations to internal teams and customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in polymer engineering, materials science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of polymer science with focus on thermoplastic elastomers extrusion.
• Proven experience in the plastics industry within an engineering discipline.
• Project‑management capability and a proactive attitude toward innovation.
• Ability to work flexibly and collaborate across functions.
