Design Coordinator

About the role

The Design Coordinator will join a national residential developer’s Technical team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Working closely with the Head of Technical, you will help deliver residential projects from concept through to completion across all RIBA stages.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage design information for a portfolio of residential developments.
• Review drawings, specifications and ensure compliance with operational, regulatory and sustainability requirements.
• Support technical due‑diligence activities and liaise with consultants, planners and internal stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings, manage consultant documentation and assist with planning, building control and warranty approvals.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience working client‑side or in a consultancy on residential developments.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations, sustainable design principles and the RIBA Plan of Work.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Familiarity with BIM processes.
