Designer – Fire Sprinkler Systems

About the role

The Designer – Fire Sprinkler Systems will create high‑quality fire‑rated sprinkler designs for commercial and residential projects. Working from our Birmingham office, you will translate project specifications into accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings while ensuring compliance with client requirements and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD designs for sprinkler systems in line with project specifications.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and contractors to deliver excellent customer service.
• Produce fabrication schedules and material summaries.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve queries and support project delivery.
• Ensure designs meet quality standards, building regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Attend design meetings and manage projects ranging from £1k to £1m.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing fire sprinkler systems.
• Extensive design background within the fire sector.
• Relevant design qualification and up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly organised, confident and able to solve on‑site problems.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
