Developer Platforms Engineer

About the role

Join Centrica’s technology team to modernise our developer platforms, strengthen cyber and operational resilience, and drive a product‑led way of working. You will work on high‑impact problems, scaling automation and AI from proof‑of‑concept to end‑to‑end solutions that improve customer journeys and reduce cost‑to‑serve.

Key responsibilities

• Handle support issues for platform end users and ensure they have the tools needed for their work.
• Onboard, secure, and document new developer platforms.
• Enable teams by assisting with platform setup, ongoing support, and providing demos or templates.
• Build automations to streamline developer processes and journeys.
• Deliver new guardrails, feature demos, and promote supplier updates to maximise platform value.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with the ability to bridge gaps between management, non‑technical stakeholders, and development teams.
• Experience using and operating developer platforms such as GitHub, AWS and Azure.
• Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
• Digital literacy with competencies in designing, integrating and operating AI‑enabled solutions, including prompt‑driven workflows, retrieval‑augmented systems and AI agents.
