DevOps Engineer

About the role

Global Relay is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its software engineering teams. You will design, implement and support automated, scalable solutions that ensure reliable, secure, and high‑quality code moves smoothly from build pipelines to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, enhance and maintain reusable CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices.
• Monitor production and test environments, build dynamic dashboards and set up alerting rules.
• Mentor junior and intermediate DevOps engineers to maximise their impact.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to automate requirements early in the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot incidents, analyse logs, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and run deployment automation tools (e.g., Helm, Ansible).

• Strong desire to expand technical horizons.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple development teams and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, VMWare.
• Build & deployment automation: Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Helm.
• Monitoring & instrumentation: Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Scripting & programming: Bash, Java, Groovy, Go, Python, React.
• Big data technologies: Cassandra, ArangoDB, Hadoop, Kafka, MongoDB, minIO.
