Driver/Passenger Attendant

About the role

Join Oxfordshire County Council’s Fleet Services team as a Driver/Passenger Attendant. You will operate a company minibus and ensure the safe, dignified transport of service users to SEN schools, adult learning disability day services, and other activities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a minibus in accordance with service requirements and road safety regulations.
• Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and movement between the vehicle and their destinations.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to coordinate journeys and maintain high standards of customer care.
• Support safe and effective passenger movements, especially for individuals with learning or physical disabilities.
• Undertake disability awareness and safeguarding training as required.

Required profile

• Full driving licence covering category D, D1 or D1 101.
• Good general education and ability to communicate clearly.
• Comfortable working with people who have learning or physical disabilities.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Required skills

• Valid full driving licence (Category D, D1 or D1 101).
