Electrical Engineer – Multi‑Skilled – Brewing Production

About the role

Join Budweiser Brewing Group at the Samlesbury brewery in Preston as a Multi‑Skilled Electrical Engineer. You will maintain and optimise cutting‑edge brewing and packaging equipment, ensuring reliable operation of world‑class lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and fault‑finding on high‑speed packaging lines, brewing systems, refrigeration plants, compressors and boilers.
• Diagnose and repair automated machinery, including PLCs, motors, sensors and electrical installations.
• Implement improvements to increase production efficiency and equipment availability.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in high‑speed manufacturing or processing environments.
• Strong safety mindset with knowledge of electrical isolation procedures.

Required skills

• Control systems and PLC programming.
• Inverters (Danfoss) and instrumentation (flowmeters, pressure transducers, level pads, probes).
• Electrical installations, 3‑phase and 24 VDC power.
• Pneumatics, hydraulics and drive systems.

What we offer

• Starting salary £53,506.33 per year with progression opportunities.
• Shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, then 4 days off.
