Process Loader Packaging Operative

About the role

The Process Loader Packaging Operative works on shift‑based roles reporting to the Packaging First Line Manager. You will join a multi‑skilled team responsible for meeting safety, quality, hygiene, service and cost KPIs in the Packaging Department.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine daily, weekly and monthly tasks within agreed ways of working.
• Work with attention to detail to meet agreed timescales.
• Operate packaging equipment to deliver finished goods of the right quality, at the right time and at the right cost.
• Undertake quality control checks to release products.
• Comply with statutory, safety, health, environment, HACCP and housekeeping requirements.
• Utilise VPO and Short Interval Control to drive improvement activities.
• Attend meetings and briefings as required.
• Undertake training and create/update documentation for new skills.

Required profile

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Packaging or engineering qualification (advantage).
• Packaging or engineering experience (advantage).
• Fork Lift Truck License where appropriate (Keg Palletiser).
• IT literacy.
• Effective team player with coordination and communication abilities.
• Experience in a high‑efficiency FMCG packaging/engineering environment.
• Ability to work in a quality‑focused food environment.
