About the role

A leading further education provider in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced trade professional to join as a part‑time Lecturer in Electrical Installation. The role offers a balanced 20‑hour week delivering practical workshops and theoretical lessons, with full support to gain formal teaching credentials.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners across various levels of Electrical Installation programmes, covering both practical skills and technical theory.
• Prepare apprentices and full‑time learners for industry entry, end‑point assessments, and career progression.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and professional workshop environment adhering to strict Health & Safety standards.
• Monitor student attendance, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to build confidence and trade‑ready skills.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (essential).
• Strong, current practical background in commercial, industrial, or domestic electrical installation.
• Teaching or assessing qualifications welcomed but not essential; unqualified candidates will be funded and supported to gain qualifications.
