EMEA Financial Accountant – Finance (Fareham)

About the role

The Financial Accountant – EMEA will join the Global Business Services Finance team in Fareham, reporting to the Senior Manager. The role is responsible for preparing and delivering accurate financial reporting for assigned markets, acting as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, and collaborating closely with Business Controllers and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end revenue and unit reconciliation, load final figures into EPM via Webforms, and manage quarterly revenue recognition and cut‑off adjustments.
• Raise accounting entries for rebate accruals, revenue returns provisions, and ensure alignment between COGNOS and EPM.
• Oversee operating expense reporting, including accruals, pre‑payments, and marketing spend, and support the GBS Accounts Payable team with cost coding.
• Monitor trade receivables, assess bad‑debt provisions, and liaise with local finance teams on headcount and payroll reporting.
• Lead month‑end review meetings with local Business Controllers to validate financial results and ensure compliance with company policy and US GAAP.

Required profile

• Proven experience preparing multi‑market financial statements and coordinating audit processes.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, commercial, tax, treasury and controllership teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in month‑end closing activities.

Required skills

• US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems.
• Proficiency in Webforms data entry.
• Familiarity with COGNOS reporting tools.
