About the role
Mastercard is seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional to join its Global Employee Relations team in London. The role will work closely with People Business Partners, employment counsel and compliance to embed a culture of decency and fairness across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to People Business Partners, managers and employees on policies and processes.
- Partner with internal employment counsel, compliance and People Business Partners to manage employee relations issues and investigations.
- Investigate concerns such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other work‑related issues.
- Prepare investigative documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings.
- Track and maintain investigation and reorganisation data and documentation.
- Use the case management system to manage cases from intake to resolution.
- Produce periodic reports for senior stakeholders and build cross‑functional relationships across geographies.
- Advise on UK, Ireland and Europe ER topics including performance management, M&A, TUPE, disciplinary processes, absence management and termination risk.
Required profile
- Experience in complex, multinational, matrixed and fast‑paced environments.
- Background in law, ideally legally qualified or with equivalent employment‑law expertise.
- Market experience across the UK, Ireland and broader European markets.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Deep HR expertise with demonstrable experience in employee relations.
- Proven ability to advise on a wide range of employee relations matters with sound judgment.
- Strong project‑management capability delivering global or cross‑regional initiatives.
- Highly developed investigative, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
