Employer Engagement Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Employer Engagement Manager to join our specialist recruitment team. Based in Manchester with the flexibility to work remotely and travel for field activities, you will play a pivotal role in connecting employers with our pre‑employment training programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach new employers through outreach, networking events and industry contacts.
• Promote a wide range of pre‑employment training courses and secure interview commitments.
• Gather employer vacancy requirements and relay them to the learner engagement team.
• Work towards defined employment start targets and monitor progress.
• Stay informed on industry trends, funding opportunities and local labour market dynamics.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building new employer relationships within the Skills or Employability sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the local labour market and existing DWP connections.
• Excellent sales, marketing and networking abilities.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing new business.
• Ability to meet and exceed targets.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel.
