Engineering Manager – Mobile Team (Remote UK)

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the mobile experience squad of a high‑growth B2C marketplace. The role is fully remote within the UK and reports to the VP of Engineering, working closely with a product manager to co‑own the roadmap and deliver the core user journey.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cross‑functional mobile team, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews and personal development planning.
• Run lean experiments and use DORA metrics to guide delivery and improve velocity.
• Make and communicate technical trade‑offs across the stack to both engineering and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, design and data teams to shape the mobile product roadmap.
• Maintain high standards of code quality and architecture while mentoring senior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Strong senior‑level engineering background, able to challenge technical decisions.
• Experience in B2C products, preferably focused on acquisition, growth or conversion.
• Comfortable explaining trade‑offs to non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as Copilot or large language models.
