Engineering Technician – Hospital Maintenance

About the role

Circle Health Group is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering team at Beardwood Hospital. This full‑time, permanent position works a 37.5‑hour week on a flexible shift pattern, providing essential maintenance and technical support across the hospital site.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders for planned maintenance, reactive response, specialist sub‑contract work and remedial tasks promptly.
• Deliver routine and specialised mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance and breakdown support.
• Provide health, safety and environmental assistance, adhering to company policies and legislation.
• Train, mentor and support site‑based Technicians and Engineering Assistants.
• Offer engineering advice to local hospital managers and act as an AP and RP Medgas when required.

Required profile

• Current CSCS card at the appropriate level; ECS card if electrically qualified.
• City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Completed apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical‑focused discipline.
• Strong understanding of health and safety statutes, ACOPs and Legionella ACOP for hospital buildings.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities in a multi‑priority environment.
