Event Manager – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of internal and external events for a leading professional services organisation. The role is a six‑month fixed‑term contract based in Birmingham, reporting to the marketing and business development team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver internal and external events, ensuring objectives, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Manage the full event lifecycle from briefing through delivery, evaluation and post‑event reporting.
• Oversee logistics including venue sourcing, supplier management, delegate communications, catering, production and scheduling.
• Support strategic marketing and business development initiatives through targeted event activity.
• Collaborate with CRM and marketing teams to maximise audience engagement and ensure accurate communications.
• Produce post‑event analysis measuring engagement, effectiveness, ROI and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor event expenditure, manage budgets and ensure efficient resource utilisation.
• Assist regional event initiatives and align programmes with organisational goals.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing events within professional services, corporate or B2B environments.
• Proven track record delivering in‑person, virtual and hybrid events from start to finish.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all organisational levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
