Event Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to join a leading professional services organisation in Birmingham. The role is a six‑month fixed‑term contract within the marketing and business development team, responsible for delivering high‑impact internal and external events from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute a diverse portfolio of in‑person, virtual and hybrid events, ensuring alignment with objectives, budgets and quality standards.
• Manage the full event lifecycle, including briefings, venue sourcing, supplier negotiation, delegate communications, catering, production and on‑site logistics.
• Collaborate with CRM, marketing and communications teams to maximise audience engagement and ensure accurate event communications and reporting.
• Produce post‑event analysis measuring attendance, ROI, effectiveness and recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor and control event budgets, track expenditure and support regional event initiatives aligned with business development goals.

Required profile

• Significant experience delivering events in a professional services, corporate or B2B environment.
• Proven track record of managing successful in‑person, virtual and hybrid events end‑to‑end.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all organisational levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
