Experienced CNC Miller & Turner – Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller & Turner to join a well‑established precision engineering and manufacturing business in Dudley. The successful candidate will work in a modern machine shop, programming, setting and operating CNC milling and turning equipment to produce high‑quality components for a range of engineering sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Heidenhain, Fanuc or similar controls.
• Manufacture precision‑engineered components to customer drawings and specifications, working with steel, stainless steel, aluminium and specialist alloys.
• Carry out first‑off inspections and in‑process quality checks using micrometers, vernier calipers and gauges.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and geometric tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Turner or CNC Machinist.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to producing work to tight tolerances and willingness to undertake overtime.

Required skills

• CNC programming and operation for milling and turning machines.
• Proficiency with Heidenhain, Fanuc or comparable CNC control systems.
• Use of measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers and gauges.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
