About the role
We are seeking a CNC Programmer with a G‑Code background who wants to progress into an Applications Engineer role. You will work with highly bespoke CNC lathes for an OEM, providing technical expertise, customer training and turnkey solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct customer training on machine programming and operation.
- Deliver turnkey solutions, including test cuts, demonstrations and exhibitions.
- Act as the technical liaison between the sales team and customers, with a 70/30 split between office work and on‑site visits.
- Provide support for highly specialised sliding‑head lathes used for high‑precision small parts.
Required profile
- Experience as a CNC programmer using G‑Code.
- Motivation to become an Applications Engineer.
Required skills
- G‑Code programming.
- CNC programming and machine operation.
What we offer
- Salary £34,000‑£36,000 per year.
- Performance bonus up to £15,000 and OTE of £50,000.
- Company car.
- In‑house training and clear progression to Applications Engineer.
