Export Seafreight Operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Export Seafreight Operator to manage end‑to‑end export shipments by sea. You will ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, carriers and vendors to book and schedule sea‑freight exports.
• Prepare and verify export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and export declarations.
• Ensure customs compliance and work with brokers to resolve clearance issues.
• Monitor cargo status, provide updates and address delays or disruptions.
• Negotiate freight rates with ocean carriers to optimise costs.
• Serve as primary contact for export customers, handling inquiries and issue resolution.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in export logistics, focusing on seafreight.
• Previous experience in an Ocean Export department.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms and customs procedures.
• Proficiency in preparing export documentation.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
