Extended Workforce Adviser (Hybrid, Contract)

About the role

This contract position supports a leading client’s specialist Resourcing team, focusing on the management of freelance and contingent workers. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the Birmingham office, and runs for an initial 3‑6 months with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a daily caseload of queries from freelancers and contingent staff.
• Provide advice on policies, contracts, timesheets and payment processes.
• Assist freelancers in navigating internal systems and locating contractual information.
• Use HR case‑management tools to log, track and resolve enquiries.
• Maintain accurate records, audit trails and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Identify and propose improvements to existing processes.
• Escalate complex issues to specialist teams when required.

Required profile

• Daily experience with an HR case‑management system.
• Demonstrable use of SAP in a professional setting.
• Strong customer‑service and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to handle a high volume of queries in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of governance, regulation and compliance best practices.
• Knowledge of employment and tax legislation for freelancers is desirable but not essential.
