EYFS / Reception Teacher – Primary School (Sept 2026)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate EYFS/Reception teacher to join a primary school in Salford for the September 2026 academic year. The role involves creating a nurturing, play‑based learning environment that supports children’s early development across literacy, numeracy and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for an EYFS/Reception class.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences.
• Support communication, language and early literacy development.
• Deliver phonics and early reading activities.
• Develop early maths and number skills.
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.
• Use observations and assessment to inform learning.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider EYFS team.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent UK primary teaching experience.
• Strong EYFS and/or Reception experience.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Knowledge of phonics and early reading.
• Nurturing and patient approach.
• Confident classroom management.
• Strong understanding of child development.
• Experience with SEND or additional needs (advantageous).
