EYFS Teaching Assistant

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming nursery school in South Birmingham from September 2026. This part-time role works three days a week for the full academic year, supporting the 2-year-old provision.

Key responsibilities

• Support children aged two within the nursery setting.
• Promote speech, language and communication through engaging play-based activities.
• Assist children’s learning, development and independence.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher and the wider Early Years team.
• Provide personal care as required.

Required profile

• Experience working in an EYFS or nursery setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (essential).
• Good understanding of the EYFS Framework.
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic attitude.
• Willingness to undertake personal care duties.
