About the role
We are seeking a dynamic First Aid Trainer to deliver high-quality first-aid and specialist courses across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region. You will join the British Red Cross, a respected charity with over 30 years of training experience and ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, helping participants develop essential life-saving skills.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver first-aid training and specialist courses to mixed-ability groups.
- Demonstrate correct actions for emergency situations, such as unresponsive patients or burns.
- Boost participants’ confidence to provide lifesaving support in real emergencies.
- Travel to training venues throughout Birmingham, West Midlands, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Staffordshire.
Required profile
- Excellent communicator with a confident, engaging presence when speaking to groups.
- Strong listening, problem-solving and feedback skills.
- Possess or be willing to obtain a training or teaching qualification.
- Own a full UK driving licence (minimum two years) and have access to a vehicle.
- Experience preparing and delivering training courses to diverse audiences.
- Residency within the Birmingham area to meet travel requirements.
