Female Mental Health Support Worker – Haverstock Hill

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Female Mental Health Support Worker to join a supported housing service on Haverstock Hill, London. The role provides person‑centred assistance to women with mental health needs, helping them develop independence and achieve recovery goals. Immediate start with a rota that includes early, late and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one support sessions and regularly review individual support plans.
• Assist residents with daily living tasks such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning and maintaining accommodation.
• Facilitate access to healthcare, GP appointments, mental health teams, benefits, education, training and employment opportunities.
• Promote medication compliance and engagement with treatment plans.
• Complete risk assessments, record case notes, incidents and safeguarding concerns using the case management system.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals, social workers, housing providers and other partner agencies.
• Safeguard vulnerable adults and respond appropriately to emergencies while maintaining professional boundaries.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Mental Health Support Worker, Recovery Worker, or in supported housing/homelessness services.
• Experience supporting adults with diagnosed mental health conditions and complex needs.
• Knowledge of recovery‑focused and trauma‑informed approaches.
• Proven ability to complete support plans, risk assessments and maintain accurate case records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
