Finance Apprentice (AAT) – Accountancy Practice

About the role

Our client, a well‑established accountancy practice in Manchester, is seeking a Finance Apprentice to work full‑time in an office‑based environment while studying for a fully funded AAT qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping and maintain client financial records.
• Process purchase and sales invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of VAT returns.
• Assist in the preparation of year‑end accounts.
• Support payroll processing.
• Liaise with clients and respond to queries.
• Provide general administration and office support.

Required profile

• Recently completed or about to complete A‑Levels.
• Strong GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 5/C or above).
• Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine interest in a finance and accountancy career.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
