Finance Business Partner – Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, privately‑owned consultancy looking for a Finance Business Partner to work closely with senior leaders. You will act as a commercial finance advisor, influencing strategic decisions and helping shape the future finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Produce insightful monthly management accounts and commercial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Partner with senior operational stakeholders to support strategic planning and commercial decision‑making.
• Improve financial controls, reporting standards and business processes.
• Develop and mentor a small finance team.
• Contribute to the design of a scalable finance function as the business expands.

Required profile

• Enjoy working closely with non‑finance stakeholders and translating financial data into clear, commercial insights.
• Experience in consultancy, recruitment, professional services, agencies, project‑led businesses or fast‑growing SMEs.
• Passion for improving systems, processes and reporting rather than merely maintaining them.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or progressing towards qualification).
• Currently in a Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner or Senior Finance Manager role seeking greater ownership and influence.
