Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will report to the Head of Finance and work from our Birmingham office in a hybrid model. You will lead financial reporting, control and compliance activities across multiple UK sites, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of key financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, revenue analysis and commentary for the UK Finance Board.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, KPI reporting and support year‑end statutory accounts.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, manage audit planning and execution.
• Develop and maintain a live finance process manual and conduct quarterly control reviews.
• Ensure timely VAT, duty and customs returns, and complete ONS surveys.
• Provide financial insight to operational stakeholders, driving accountability and informed decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strategic, commercially‑focused mindset with strong analytical abilities.
• Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach to problem solving.
• Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts and audit liaison.
• Knowledge of UK tax, VAT, customs and regulatory compliance.
