Financial Controller – International Finance Role

About the role

We are partnering with a US‑headquartered international business to create a Financial Controller position in Central London. This hybrid role supports a fast‑moving finance function across Europe, Asia and other global regions, combining reporting, operational finance, controls and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support management and statutory reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Coordinate year‑end audit processes and manage external stakeholder relationships.
• Provide financial support to project and deal teams, including invoicing, tax considerations and working‑capital activities.
• Support tax compliance across international operations.
• Assist with treasury, cash‑flow, payroll and broader operational finance responsibilities.
• Drive process improvements in systems, reporting and financial controls.
• Support acquisition integration and wider strategic projects.
• Assist with international entity set‑up, banking arrangements and operational finance initiatives.
• Act as a key partner to senior stakeholders across finance and the broader business.
• Lead, coach and develop junior team members where appropriate.
• Support senior leadership on ad‑hoc commercial and operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent).
• Experience operating in complex, international and fast‑paced environments.
• Current or recent role as Finance Manager, Group Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance manager.
• Strong technical finance expertise combined with commercial judgement.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach and ability to balance day‑to‑day operational matters with strategic projects.
• Adaptable, pragmatic and comfortable working at pace.
