Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a newly acquired software SME. Reporting to the Managing Director and the Group CFO, you will have full autonomy over the business unit’s financial operations while working remotely from the South West of the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Own the preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly management reports.
• Manage all accounting activities including reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and the production of annual financial statements.
• Lead the transition from UK GAAP to IFRS, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and other relevant standards.
• Oversee statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with senior leaders such as the CEO and COO to develop and communicate clear financial plans.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with several years of experience in a senior finance role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS‑15, and experience converting UK GAAP to IFRS.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a complete finance function.
