Financial Controller – Manufacturing Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a £25 million turnover manufacturing business in Manchester. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead the finance function, delivering robust reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow management while providing commercial insight to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑cycle financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies.
• Partner with operational teams to analyse performance and support strategic decisions.
• Provide commercial insight and cost‑analysis to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and commercial mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
