Financial Operations Manager

About the role

ClearAccept, a fast‑growing payments business within the ClearCourse family, is seeking a Financial Operations Manager to lead its Finance Operations function. You will own critical financial processes, guide a talented team, and ensure compliance and operational excellence across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance Operations team.
• Own client fund reconciliations and safeguarding compliance (CASS 15).
• Manage merchant invoicing, payment reconciliations and revenue reporting.
• Oversee aged debt and credit‑control processes.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and month‑end activities.
• Lead Finance Operations support for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor transactional costs and provide financial insight to the business.
• Drive process improvements, automation and stronger financial controls.
• Act as a key stakeholder across finance, operations and customer‑support teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Finance Operations experience in a payments business (PSP, PayFac, Acquirer or similar).
• Proven experience managing or leading a finance team.
• Strong understanding of client‑fund safeguarding and CASS 15 requirements.
• Experience with merchant billing, settlements and payment reconciliations.
• Advanced analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
