Food & Beverage Multi-Skilled General Assistant

About the role

The Novotel Wolverhampton, a 132-room city-centre hotel in the Fairview Hotels portfolio of 16 hotels, is hiring a multi-skilled general assistant for its food and beverage areas. The role covers breakfast and dinner service, with flexible shift patterns of 20 to 30 hours per week, including mid-week and weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers with a friendly demeanour, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and bar.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Manage time effectively to provide prompt service during busy periods.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in the UK and able to prove eligibility.
• Previous restaurant or bar experience is an advantage but not essential; culinary experience is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Strong serving skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
• Excellent hospitality and guest service abilities.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and card transactions.
• Effective time management for busy shifts.
