Forklift Truck Driver – Temporary (Manchester)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join a well‑established manufacturing client on a temporary three‑month assignment in Openshaw, Manchester. The role involves operating a forklift safely within a busy warehouse environment, supporting daily loading and unloading activities.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Check goods in and out for damage and accuracy.
• Report issues using internal quality processes.
• Carry out inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Shrink‑wrap finished goods to company standards.
• Adhere to manual handling and health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Valid forklift truck (FLT) licence (Bendi licence highly desirable).
• Experience working in a stores or warehouse environment.
• Previous experience in a similar FLT or warehouse role.
• Good communication and basic IT literacy.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

• Competitive hourly rate of £14.00.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Thursday 7:30 am‑4:00 pm, Friday 7:30 am‑12:30 pm.
