Class 1 HGV Driver – West Thurrock

About the role

A growing and well‑established transport and logistics company is seeking a professional, dependable Class 1 HGV driver to join its expanding operation in West Thurrock, Essex. This permanent, full‑time position offers an experienced driver the chance to work with a reputable employer on daily multi‑drop deliveries across the M25 corridor and port haulage.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles using curtain‑sided trailers and container skellies.
• Perform daily multi‑drop deliveries and collections throughout the M25 area.
• Transport containers to and from major UK ports such as Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton.
• Ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of goods.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and delivery performance.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Port cards for Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in multi‑drop, container, port haulage or general haulage (advantageous).
• Good geographical knowledge of London, Essex, the M25 and surrounding areas.
