Fostering Team Manager

About the role

The Fostering Team Manager will lead a small team of social workers within a therapeutic independent fostering agency in the West Midlands. This permanent role offers a blend of office‑based and remote work, supporting high‑quality therapeutic care for children and young people.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 4‑5 social workers, providing supervision and performance feedback.
• Ensure a consistently high standard of therapeutic fostering care is delivered.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with foster carers, team members, and external stakeholders.
• Monitor case outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Proven management experience, preferably within a fostering or child‑welfare team.
