Freelance Account Manager – Health Communications

About the role

We are looking for a Freelance Account Manager to join a London‑based PR and communications team supporting a portfolio of pharmaceutical clients. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality communications programmes that meet client objectives while navigating the regulated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day client activity and act as the primary point of contact.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams across media relations, content creation, research and presentation development.
• Develop and pitch media stories, press releases and thought‑leadership pieces.
• Produce client‑facing materials such as briefing documents, reports and presentation decks.
• Ensure all communications adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in agency or in‑house account management within healthcare or pharmaceutical communications.
• Strong understanding of the regulated nature of the health sector.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver projects on time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
