About the role

This short‑term freelance assignment supports a UK‑based fractional marketing leadership provider launching an AI Maturity Index. The specialist will take an already‑written press release and secure coverage in high‑authority B2B tech and AI publications.

Key responsibilities

• Review the client’s draft press release and develop a compelling story angle around the research findings.
• Build a targeted media list of journalists and editors covering B2B marketing, technology and AI.
• Pitch the story to editors and journalists, leveraging existing relationships.
• Follow up with media contacts to achieve published coverage.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in B2B tech PR with a portfolio of media placements.
• Established relationships with editors at B2B marketing and tech/AI trade publications.
• Comfortable working on a focused, one‑off brief rather than an ongoing retainer.
