Frontend Engineer – Music

About the role

Spotify’s Rights Systems team is looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build and evolve the Spotify Rights Center (SRC), a platform that enables rights holders to manage music licensing across Spotify’s ecosystem. You will work on a product used by music labels, publishers, and other rights owners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the SRC web application using modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, high‑quality user experiences.
• Implement complex workflows that handle large datasets, territory‑level permissions, and multi‑step dispute processes.
• Integrate the frontend with multiple backend services (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) to ensure scalable and reliable data flows.
• Write performant, accessible, and well‑tested code following best practices.
• Partner with backend teams to design and evolve APIs that meet product needs.
• Contribute to product discovery, ideation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience building modern web applications with TypeScript and React (or a comparable framework).
• Comfort managing complex application state and data flows.
• Experience integrating frontend systems with APIs such as REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of responsive UI design, loading states, pagination, streaming data, and graceful error handling.
• Passion for creating intuitive and accessible user experiences.
• Background in enterprise or B2B applications with complex workflows, permissions, and large datasets.
• Commitment to writing high‑quality code validated by unit, integration, or end‑to‑end tests.
• Ownership from requirements through deployment and iteration based on user feedback.
