Full Stack Developer – Node.js & Cloud (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a growing technology business that builds bespoke operational platforms for product‑based companies. The role is hybrid, based in Staffordshire, and focuses on backend development while still contributing across the full application stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust APIs and backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and optimise integrations with third‑party operational platforms.
• Automate internal workflows and improve system reliability, scalability and performance.
• Support cloud‑hosted applications on AWS or Azure and manage production environments.
• Collaborate directly with clients to gather technical requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Participate in architectural decisions within a small engineering team.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven track record designing and maintaining APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience working on live, production systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools is a plus.
