Graduate Civil Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a well‑established SME residential developer in Gloucester. The role offers hands‑on experience from acquisition through to construction, with dedicated software training and clear progression.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering solutions from site acquisition to completion, reporting to the Associate Engineering Director.
• Produce detailed drawings and designs for planning applications, water/highway authority submissions, tenders and construction (SuDS, roads, foundations, retaining walls, remediation works).
• Liaise with internal teams, attend site visits and ensure cost‑effective, innovative solutions.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to develop sustainable and renewable‑focused designs.

Required profile

• BEng degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with a genuine interest in civil engineering.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
• Enthusiastic, confident communicator with a keen‑to‑learn attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in civil engineering design software (training provided).
• Understanding of SuDS, road design, foundations, retaining walls and remediation works.
