About the role
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a mixed community secondary school in East London. The role starts in September 2026 and runs for one year, offering the chance to support pupils aged 11‑16 in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and preparing learning materials.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to reinforce learning objectives.
- Monitor and record student progress, giving feedback to teaching staff.
- Supervise pupils during break times, trips and extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to the school’s safeguarding and wellbeing policies.
Required profile
- Minimum of 7 GCSEs at grades A‑C (4‑9), including English and Mathematics.
- A 2:1 degree or higher from a recognised university.
- Genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Competitive daily rate of £100‑£110.
