Group Financial Accountant – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position offers an experienced Financial Accountant or newly qualified auditor the chance to work within a large, multi‑entity professional services organisation. Based in Manchester with a hybrid working model, you will join a high‑performing finance team focused on group reporting, financial controls and system improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial reports in line with UK GAAP (FRS 102) deadlines.
• Execute group consolidations and ensure balance‑sheet integrity through reconciliations and controls.
• Support statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
• Manage month‑end activities including journal entries, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Maintain inter‑company accounting processes and reconciliations.
• Assist with finance system enhancements, process improvement initiatives and business transformation projects.
• Develop strong relationships across finance and wider business functions.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Previous experience in financial accounting, audit, group reporting or financial control within the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and experience in a multi‑entity environment.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Available to start immediately or at short notice.

Required skills

• SAP (or other ERP system) experience.
