Head of Legal Practice – Residential Conveyancing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to lead our residential conveyancing practice. This senior position combines regulatory oversight, risk management and team leadership within a dynamic property law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the appointed Head of Legal Practice for the firm.
• Lead legal compliance, governance and risk management initiatives.
• Provide technical support on complex residential conveyancing matters.
• Oversee audits, complaints handling and quality assurance processes.
• Develop, mentor and support the legal team.
• Ensure compliance with AML, lender and regulatory requirements.
• Drive operational improvements and embed legal best practice.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or FCILEx.
• Extensive experience in residential conveyancing.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
• Excellent communication, commercial awareness and professional judgement.
