Head of Litigation – Housing Disrepair (Liverpool)

About the role

Our client – a leading law firm recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners – is seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair specialist to become Head of Litigation, overseeing a strong team handling pre‑ and post‑litigated HDR matters and shaping overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and supervising a team of litigators handling Housing Disrepair matters
• Managing workload distribution and team capacity
• Supporting, coaching and motivating your team to perform
• Driving case progression and results while maintaining exceptional client care
• Acting as a genuine ambassador for the firm's values and standards

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5+ years PQE
• Demonstrable expertise in Housing Disrepair and Civil Litigation
• Proven experience leading or supervising a litigation team
• Excellent technical knowledge of CPR and Housing Conditions case law
• Strong negotiation, communication and client care skills
• A target‑driven mindset balanced with genuine care for outcomes
• Personal Injury experience would be an advantage, though not essential
