Head of Procurement, Contracts & Facilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced leader to take responsibility for procurement, contract management, estates and facilities within a complex, values‑led organisation based in the Bristol area.

Key responsibilities

• Leading procurement, contract management, facilities and estates functions.
• Managing supplier contracts and procurement activity across operational services.
• Driving value for money, efficiency improvements and sustainable resource management.
• Overseeing capital projects, refurbishments and estate development programmes.
• Supporting business continuity planning and major incident response.
• Managing operational budgets and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Developing performance reporting, metrics and operational insights.
• Leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience within procurement, contracts, facilities, estates or operational services.
• Experience managing supplier contracts and external service providers.
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance and risk management.
• Experience overseeing facilities and estate services.
• Strong financial and budget management skills.
• Proven ability to lead service improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience.
