Head of Trade Finance Sales – Middle East Trade Corridors

About the role

This senior position leads trade finance sales for a major international banking group operating across the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Based in London, you will drive business across corporate and financial‑institution clients, focusing on trade flows between the UK, Europe, GCC, Turkey, Egypt, India and wider regional markets.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and develop new trade finance and structured trade opportunities for corporate and financial‑institution clients.
• Build and nurture relationships with commodity traders, manufacturers, EPC contractors, oil & gas firms, financial institutions and large corporates active on Middle East trade corridors.
• Deliver a suite of solutions including trade finance, receivables finance, structured trade finance, borrowing‑base lending, inventory finance, supply‑chain finance and pre‑/post‑export finance.
• Identify product development initiatives and new revenue streams.
• Collaborate closely with Credit, Risk, Compliance and Operations teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Lead, coach and grow a small team of trade‑finance professionals.
• Support the broader Transaction Banking and Corporate Banking franchise growth.

Required profile

• Hands‑on originator with a proven track record in trade finance sales.
• Senior‑level professional capable of generating new business and leading a team.
• Deep understanding of Middle East trade corridors and related client segments.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to shape the future direction of the trade finance franchise.
