Household Assistant for Private Family in Knightsbridge

About the role

The family in Knightsbridge is seeking a dedicated Household Assistant to join a small, professional service team. Working closely with the chef and housekeeping staff, you will help keep the home running smoothly, support daily food service and assist with occasional travel and second‑home duties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide informal food and beverage service to the family each day.
• Assist the chef with meal preparation, organisation and service.
• Collaborate with housekeeping to maintain high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the property.
• Perform daily tidying, manage household stock levels and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Greet and assist guests, and support fellow House Assistants to ensure full coverage of duties.
• Accompany the family on occasional overseas trips and provide support at the Surrey second residence, including weekend work.
• Care for three family dogs, including feeding and basic upkeep.

Required profile

• UK citizenship and fluent English.
• Proven experience in household service, preferably from yachting or chalet hospitality.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Comfortable working around dogs and able to start immediately.

What we offer

• Salary between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Shift‑based full‑time schedule (7:00 am–2:00 pm or 2:00 pm–10:00 pm).
• Approximately 1–2 weekends per month, with additional downtime when the family travels.
• Travel expenses reimbursed for work at the Surrey property and overseas trips.
