Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

The Housekeeping Assistant will ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents at Willowmere Care Centre, a specialist care home in Barnet. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness across bedrooms, communal areas and facilities, supporting the wellbeing of adults with complex health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and tidy resident bedrooms, bathrooms and communal spaces to a high standard.
• Manage waste disposal and support laundry tasks, handling residents’ belongings with care.
• Follow infection control procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain supplies of cleaning materials and report any maintenance issues.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to ensure a welcoming and dignified environment.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
