HR Assistant (Generalist) – Mayfair, London

About the role

We are looking for an HR Assistant (Generalist) to join our dynamic hedge‑fund environment in Mayfair, London. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will support the full employee lifecycle with a focus on onboarding, employee relations, HR systems and day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day HR operations and support the entire employee lifecycle.
• Lead onboarding processes to ensure a seamless, high‑touch new starter experience.
• Act as the first point of contact for HR queries and employee support.
• Assist with employee relations cases, documentation and follow‑ups.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support HR systems such as Workday.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, including interview scheduling and candidate liaison.
• Support HR reporting, data accuracy and basic analytics.
• Contribute to HR projects, policy updates and process improvements.
• Assist with performance reviews, training initiatives and broader HR administration.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in an HR Assistant or HR Generalist role.
• Strong understanding of onboarding, employee relations and HR processes.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Discreet and professional handling of sensitive information.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with HR systems such as Workday.
